JACK AND BORE + PIPE RAMMING

The Jack and Bore and Pipe Ramming method has always been one of the most economical and reliable ways to bore under objects such as established highways, railroads, and bodies of water. The Jack and Bore method is done with an Auger Boring machine to jack steel pipe or casing through the earth, while concurrently rotating the auger inside the casing to remove earth spoil.

Pipe Ramming, while like a Jack and Bore, is a method of installing a steel pipe or casing using a pneumatic tool to hammer the pipe or casing into the ground. Pipe Ramming has proven useful in a variety of soil conditions.

SPRiG has a knowledgeable crew with experience executing Pipe Ramming and Jack and Bores ranging in diameters of 12” to 36” through a variety of terrains and soil conditions.

PIPE BURSTING

Pipe Bursting can be used to replace pipes without requiring open trench methods. Pipe Bursting is accomplished by pulling a bursting device through the existing pipe, shattering the old pipe and forcing the fragments into the surrounding soil. One of the advantages to using Pipe Bursting, other than minimizing disruption to the surrounding area, is that it allows for the opportunity to upsize the pipe rather than restrict the size of the pipe.
